The field of view (also field of vision) is the (angular or linear or areal) extent of the observable world that is seen at any given moment.
In BFBC2, the default setting is 55, which many believe is too low. A more realistic setting would be anywhere between 65-80 (any higher and targets become too small to see/hit). There is also a maximum limit in place to prevent cheating.

It works. Remember this will put more strain on your graphics card as it now has to draw, render & shade more! It will also make enemy targets smaller. Harder to hit...grrrr
I'm blaming it for my sudden blue screens of death.
